Elite Reader support

Contact VinWare LLC at help@vinwareapps.com. Include your app version (Settings → About Elite Reader), iOS version, device model, and the steps leading to the issue. Do not include passwords, private documents, or your full reading library.

Import an article or document

Use Add to paste text, import a document, choose photos, scan pages, or select an included sample. For web articles that need sign-in, open the page in Safari and share it to Elite Reader. If the site does not expose readable text, copy a passage you have permission to save. Protected documents and complex layouts may require a different import method.

Open Elite Reader to collect pending shares. If extraction failed, use Retry pending imports in the Library. A successful share remains in the shared inbox even when iOS prevents the extension from opening the app directly.

Free and Pro

Free includes five saved readings at a time, all five reading modes, folders, progress, widgets, and available on-device notes. Pro adds unlimited saved readings through a one-time App Store purchase. It has no subscription or automatic renewal. Device storage and import size limits still apply. Samples count as saved readings.

Open Settings → Explore Pro & restore purchases to see the current localized price or restore a purchase. Use the Apple Account that originally bought Pro. If a purchase awaits approval, the app unlocks Pro when Apple confirms it. If the App Store cannot load, your saved readings remain available. Restoring purchases does not restore the library after app removal.

A full free library does not delete new shares: open Library → Waiting readings. Remove a saved reading to make room, then check for space, or unlock Pro. You can explicitly discard an unwanted waiting import. An Apple refund or revocation returns the app to the free limit for new additions; existing readings remain readable.

Fix scan recognition

Use even lighting and keep the page flat. Review recognized text before saving. Import up to 20 pages or photos at a time; split large scanned documents into smaller files.

Change pace and presentation

Open a reading, choose its mode, and adjust the pace controls. Settings changes defaults for new imports; saved readings retain their individual preferences. Pause or choose a mode with more surrounding text whenever helpful.

Understand activity

Words and active time count during playback. Scrolling, paused time, and skipped words do not count as reading activity. Time-saved values are estimates against a 200 WPM reference, not measures of comprehension.

Companion notes unavailable

Optional generation requires supported on-device Apple Intelligence, iOS 26 or later, and compatible language/settings. Source excerpts remain available without generation.

Unsaved changes or old widgets

For unsaved changes, keep the app open, make more device storage available, and use the retry action. Do not remove the app to solve this problem; doing so may delete your local library. Open the app after reading to refresh widget data. iOS controls the final widget refresh schedule.

Import a book from another reading app

Use an unprotected EPUB or PDF file you own or have permission to use. Elite Reader does not connect to a purchased-book library or remove copy protection. A book-store link is not the book text. Use the in-app Apple Books & Kindle guide for supported manual file routes; availability depends on the source and publisher.

Change or hide your reading pet

Drag Bolt or Arctic to move it. Tap for contextual shortcuts or choose Rest for now. In Settings, use A little company to choose a pet, control hints, reset its position, or hide it.

Artwork search and privacy

Search Google Images sends the reading title as a query to Google in an in-app browser. For private titles, choose Photos, Files, or the default cover instead.
