Tear Line Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026.
Tear Line is a text-splitting app by VinWare LLC. This policy explains how it handles text and preferences on iPhone and iPad.
Your writing
Text splitting takes place on your device. Tear Line does not send your writing to a server operated by VinWare LLC. The app does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. You do not need an account.
Your draft and break-editing history are held in memory during the current app session. They are not saved as documents or synchronized through a cloud service. Copy or share text you want to keep before closing the app. Clearing the editor removes the current draft from the workspace; it does not erase copies sent elsewhere.
Production builds disable IssueCapture. Development builds include it for optional local issue reporting: a screenshot and the description you enter are stored in the app’s local container. They are not sent to VinWare LLC. If you export or share a report using the system share flow, the destination you choose handles it.
Preferences
Tear Line saves your appearance, accent, character limit, endings, numbering, copying options, and related preferences in the app’s local settings. Custom ending and separator text are also stored as preferences. Use Restore defaults in Settings to replace these preferences with their defaults.
Device backups and restoration are controlled by your operating system and Apple account settings. Tear Line does not operate a backup or sync service.
Clipboard and sharing
Tear Line receives clipboard text when you choose to paste. Copy places your selected post or thread on the system clipboard. System features such as Universal Clipboard may make copied text available on your other devices, depending on your settings.
Share uses the system share sheet. Text is passed to the app, person, or service you select, which handles it under its own privacy practices. VinWare LLC does not receive a copy through this sharing feature.
External pages and support
Opening an external support or policy page uses your browser. The website host may receive technical request information, such as an IP address. If you contact support, the contact channel receives the details you provide. Avoid including sensitive draft text unless it is needed to explain the problem.
For questions about information you provided to support or a request to delete it, contact help@vinwareapps.com.
Your choices
You can clear a draft, restore preferences, or delete the app. Deleting the app removes its local container from that device, subject to operating-system backup and restoration behavior. It does not delete text copied or shared to other apps, devices, or services. There is no Tear Line account to delete and no developer-hosted writing history to retrieve.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated if the app’s data practices change. For privacy questions, contact VinWare LLC at help@vinwareapps.com.
